1. How can I save a gas station as my Favorite?
Setting a location as a Favorite makes retrieving any available deals, contact information and driving information from a frequently visited gas station readily available.
To set a location as a Favorite, complete the following steps.
1. Select "Sites and Deals" from the main menu.
2. Select the gas station you would like to save as a Favorite through a list of locations or locations on the map.
3. Once you have selected the desired gas station, select Favorites to save this location for future reference.
2. How can I delete a Favorite?
To delete a Favorite, complete the following steps.
1. Select "Sites and Deals" from the main menu.
2. Select your Favorite's tab
3. Select the desired Favorite to delete.
4. Select the Favorites icon to remove this location as a Favorite. To confirm that this is successful, the icon will no longer be RED.
3. How do I set the hourly rate for timecard?
To set the hourly rate for timecard, complete the following steps.
1. From the main menu, select the Time Card icon.
2. Select Edit next to Income to input the hourly wage.
The application will not allow you to submit this information if you are currently clocked in. You must clock out successfully in order to make changes to the hourly rate.
4. How can I email my time log report?
To email your time log report, complete the following steps.
1. Select the Time Card icon.
2. To the top right hand corner of the application, select the Android Share icon and an Export screen will appear.
3. Select Email or other form of sharing method. If Email was your choice, the application will automatically open a new email onto your device and attach your time log report as an excel file. The excel file will include your timecard events.
5. How do you set the radius of your search for "Sites and Deals?"
Increasing your search radius will allow you to find Sites and Deals within 1 Mile, 2 Miles, 5 miles, 10 Miles, or 25 Miles from your current location.
To set the radius of your search, complete the following steps:
1. Select Site and Deals from the application main menu.
2. Select the Setting icon located to the top right hand corner of the screen.
3. Select Search Radius and select 1 Mile, 2 Miles, 5 Miles, 10 Miles or 25 Miles.
6. How often are gas prices updated?
Gas prices are updated every day. However, it is not guaranteed that we receive updated gas prices from each site. Updates from these sites can vary from 1 hour to 72 hours.
7. The gas station location is incorrect. How can I report this?
Please contact Customer Support to report this location error at 800-877-0800.
8. I tried to use a deal, but it was not accepted.
Confirm that the deal is still active. Active dates should be listed to the very bottom of the deal in smaller print.
9. How come I cannot see the logo of the gas stations I use?
If Fuelman does not have the logo of the gas station, it will replace it with the Fuelman logo until the correct logo can be replaced.
10. Once a deal expires, will it automatically remove itself from the listed deals?
Once a deal expires, it will automatically be removed from the application.
11. What do I do if I know of a vendor (restaurant, store, etc.) who want to participate in the program?
At this time the application does not include a partner connection function.
12. Can I set the application to only see the stations I use?
The application will allow you to filter and show gas stations on your map within a specific radius (1, 2, 5, 10 and 25 miles) and fuel type (Regular, Plus, Premium and Diesel). If you would like to see specific gas stations you only visit within your map, you will have to set these locations as Favorites and it can be easily accessible by selecting the Favorites tab.
13. When using navigation, why do I receive the error message "Unable to Generate Route?"
Move to an area where your device has a clearer view of the sky and can still connect with your device.
Please note that some car windshields that have heat-reflective coatings may reduce the quality of the GPS signal. Your device should announce when you have adequate GPS signal again. Depending on the device make/model, please make sure GPS or Location settings are ON/Enabled.
The GPS will not work if the device's battery charge level is low. If you get a low battery warning, connect a charging cable as soon as possible. In some cases, you may need to wait a while for the battery to become sufficiently charged so that the GPS receiver will work.
14. What are ideal conditions for GPS navigation?
A device with a GPS receiver needs a clear view of the sky.
Solid or massive obstructions can reduce accuracy or block GPS signals, and may cause extended initialization time (time to first GPS fix). Common obstructions include tall buildings, covered parking lots, tunnels, trees, and terrain features.
If you are parked in a covered parking lot or near a tall building, it is recommended that you move to an open area and then begin to use Navigation or any other mapping features.
15. Why does GPS not work near buildings and other tall objects?
Your device requires signals from GPS satellites in order to work, so it needs a clear view of the sky.
Dense materials (such as concrete, rock, steel, heavy wood), tall buildings, terrain features (like mountains, ridges, and cliffs), and large trees can block or degrade GPS signals and may make it impossible to determine your location.
GPS satellites are not always immediately overhead and could be anywhere in the skies at any time, even low on the horizon; however, there are enough satellites in orbit so that four or more will be view of your device if not blocked by large objects, terrain, or dense materials.
16. When I launch the map why is my location wrong?
The GPS receiver built into your device was unable to retrieve your current location and may need to be refreshed.
Ensure that you are outdoors with a clear view of the sky. Solid or massive obstructions can reduce accuracy or block GPS signals, and may also cause the device to take extended time to determine your location. Common obstructions include tall buildings, covered parking lots, tunnels, trees, and terrain features.
To Enable GPS on your phone, complete the following steps.
1. Enable GPS on your phone by going into your phone Settings.
2. Select Location Services and check mark Use GPS Satellites.
3. Launch Fuelman and check to see if your map is showing your current location.
If not, you can force a GPS reading on your device by launching the Navigation feature and retrieving driving directions. If you are able to successfully get driving directions, your location on the map should refresh.
17. How do I exit the application?
To exit the application, complete the following steps.
1. Hold down the middle Home Key button until your Task Manager appears.
2. Press and hold down the Fuelman application until Delete from list appears.
3. Select Delete from list to successfully exit the application.
Please note that if you did not clock out prior to exiting the application, your time card will remain clocked in. Exiting the application does not clock you out.
18. If I make an error on the time entry, is there a way to fix it?
At this time time entry corrections are not available.
19. Why does this application drain my battery?
Fuelman uses your GPS within the device to retrieve mapping information, driving direction, etc and may cause your device battery to drain. If the employee has Share Location enabled and uses Team Chat, it will also utilize your GPS at all times.
It is recommended to have your device plugged into your car charger when possible.
If you are no longer using the application, launch your Task Manager by holding down the middle Home Key button.
Press and hold down the Fuelman application and select Delete from list to Exit successfully.
20. Why can't I see where one of my team members are located on the map?
The employee may have his Share Location setting within the Fuelman application set to OFF.
To Enable to Disable the Share Location feature, complete the following steps.
1. The employee can enable/disable this feature by going into Team on his device.
2. Select the Settings icon located to the top right hand corner of the screen.
3. Next to Share Location, the employee can toggle this feature from OFF to ON.
Low battery, Weak/NO GPS coverage and the device turned OFF are other possible reasons why the employee cannot be located on your map
21. If an update to the application is available, will I be notified? How can I download the update?
The Fuelman application will automatically send you a notice for any available updates within the application. You may also set a separate alert for any updates regarding this application through your device by following the instructions below:
If an update to the application is available, an alert can be sent to your device. To enable this feature, complete the following steps.
1. Select Settings within your phone.
2. Select Application Manager
3. Select Fuelman
4. Checkmark Show Notifications. Enabling Show Notifications will alert your device of any alerts or important updated regarding this application.
If an update is available and you would like to re-download the application to the most current version, complete the following steps.
1. Launch Play Store
2. Search for Fuelman
3. Select Update and the most updated version of the application will download and install to your device.
22. How can I broadcast a message to a group of people?
If you would like to send a message to multiple people, complete the following steps.
1. Select Team within the Fuelman application.
2. Select a pre-existing Group. Or you can create your own group to send this message to by selecting Settings to the top right hand corner of the page and selecting Add Group. Add Group will allow you to pick and choose which members will belong to this distribution. Once you are finished...
3. Select the Group you would like to broadcast your message to.
You can write, voice-in or send a picture through Group Chat.
